Breadwinner is a brand of Pernickety Private Limited. This policy covers what personal data we collect on breadwinnerfoods.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Pernickety Private Limited.
What we collect
- When you sign up or order: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address. Payments go through Razorpay; we never see or store your card details.
- When you write to us (contact form, email or WhatsApp): your contact details and whatever you tell us.
- When you browse: the pages you view, the site that sent you here, any campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), your browser and device type, and a random session ID that ends when you close the tab. If you are signed in, these are linked to your account.
- Your approximate location: our hosting provider, Netlify, works out an approximate city, state and country from your IP address. We save that with your page views so we know which cities our visitors come from. We do not store your IP address.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see how the site is used. It sets its own cookies (their names start with _ga) and receives the same kind of browsing information listed above. You can block it with Google’s opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab) or your browser’s tracking protection. The site works fine without it.
Google Signals is switched on in our Google Analytics. If you are signed in to a Google account and have allowed ad personalisation there, Google can link your visits across devices and give us totals by age range and interests. We see only those totals, never who you are. You can switch this off in your Google account’s ad settings.
Razorpay on the checkout page
The checkout page loads Razorpay’s checkout script from checkout.razorpay.com so that you can pay. Razorpay sets a cookie called rzp_unified_session_id and sends its own technical requests to its servers, under Razorpay’s privacy policy. No other page on this site loads it.
How we use it
- To take, deliver and support your orders
- To run your account and order history
- To send order confirmations and delivery updates
- To answer your questions by email, phone or WhatsApp
- To see which pages, cities and campaigns bring people to the site, so we know where to deliver next
- After a delivery, to email you once to ask how the bread was and once when you might be running low. Write to us and we will stop these.
- To email you news or a city launch, only if you signed up for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site and deliver your order:
- Supabase: database and sign-in
- Netlify: website hosting, the contact form and approximate location
- Razorpay: payments
- Google: Google Analytics, and Google sign-in if you choose it
- Resend: sending our emails
- WhatsApp: only if you choose to message us there
- Delivery partners: your name, phone number and address, to deliver your order
Netlify and Supabase also keep their own technical server logs, which include IP addresses, under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data. Ever. Not even to bread companies.
Cookies and browser storage
Our own code uses your browser’s storage, not cookies, to keep you signed in and to remember your cart, your light or dark theme, and the campaign tag of the link that first brought you here. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, and Razorpay sets one on the checkout page (both described above).
How long we keep it
We keep your account and order details while your account is open, and order and invoice records for as long as Indian tax law requires. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete everything the law does not require us to keep.
Your rights
You can view, edit, or delete your profile and addresses from your account page at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account entirely, email us at hello@breadwinnerfoods.com or write to our Grievance Officer below.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway.
Pernickety Private Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. Our registered office is S No. 646/6A/1, Plot No. 2, 4th Platinum Plaza, Opp Ramayan Bungalow, Next to Jain Oswal Boarding, Tilak Wadi Road, Police Staff Colony, Nashik, Maharashtra 422002.
